1. COUNSELLING CENTER
The youth of today are Emotionally incapable to deal with real life stress. Most often these pent up emotions lead to depression or mishandled outbursts. To ease out these bottled up emotions the college has a counselling centre and guidance cell that offers comfort, relief and confidentiality. We believe mental health of each individual contributing their development and growth .so that, we provide the facility of a in house counsellor available at all time the students receive personal and professional guidance in every aspect of life. The institution has a full time Counsellor to provide guidance and to help students in their personal problems. The services of the counsellor are available to the students. As mentors, faculty guide mentees in their personal and academic matters, and maintain a record of their academic and personal profile. The mentor directs the mentee to the college counsellor for guidance if needed.
2. HEALTH CARE SERVICES
Physical and mental well-being of the student and staff are given prime importance. Various measures are undertaken to ensure their care and welfare.
• First aid amenities are available in each block
• Retiring room facilities
• Awareness programmes on healthy practices
• Eye and dental camps, diabetes screening camp and general health camp are organized by Management in between 2 months
• Free health check-up in collaboration with neighbourhood clinics
• Awareness programmes on women health are organized by Women Empowerment Cell
• Medical insurance scheme for faculty members and non-teaching staff
3. SCHOLARSHIP
We providing scholarship facility for the economically deprived background students and providing scholarship assistance for all the children for getting benefit from the side of government.
4. PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE
Providing 100% placement assistance for diploma in Hotel management students and conducting placement drives in campus with coordinating different companies as an gateway to their career growth.
5. COMMITTEE FOR PREVENTION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT
Expertise in law enforcement management taking all the efforts to ensure a safe and secure ambience for women. Grievances pertaining to sexual harassment shall be redressed by the Internal Compliance Committee (Committee for Prevention of Sexual Harassment). The college community is conscientised about the uniqueness and dignity of the human person. The Internal Compliance Committee (Committee for Prevention of Sexual Harassment) College was constituted in accordance to the UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students at Higher Educational Institutions) Regulation, 2015.
6. CULTURAL ASSOCIATION
We aim at the holistic development of the child to promote creativity and leadership among students cultural association conducting innovative programmes in the campus.
7. ANTI-RAGGING CELL
To provide best learning enviournmennt for the child, Ragging is strictly prohibited in the premise of the college and hostels. Any student of St. Norbert College accused and found guilty of ragging, will be severely dealt with, in accordance with the Provisions of the Law. An offence of ragging may be charged either on a written complaint by the affected or on independent findings of the Anti-ragging Committee/Squad. And also, we are providing awareness for students with experts in the field of law.
8. CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT AND SKILL ENCHANCEMENT COMMITTEE
We ensure developing capacity of each students by including them in different skill enhancement training programme, like soft skill training and communication skill development programme and providing life skill exposures.
9. GRIVENCE REDRESSAL FORUM
College provides proper mechanism to students for redressal of their grievances. This committee will deal with all the Grievances directly which is related to the common problems at Institute level both Academic and Administrative. Complaints dropped in the 'Suggestion Box' by students and parents and oral complaints are also redressed. All complaints are scrutinized by the management and the grievance redressal cell The aggrieved member shall submit his/her petition to the Grievance Redressal Committee in a sealed envelope marked ‘confidential’. On receipt of a petition the Grievance Redressal Committee will endeavour to send its recommendation to the Principal for further action. In case of false and frivolous complaint (if proved), the Grievance Redressal Committee will recommend Principal/ Disciplinary Authority to take appropriate action against the complainant.
